· Extraction Method: Cold Pressed (Carrier Oil)
· Part Used: Seeds

The Profile
Black Cumin, also known as Black Seed or "Kalonji," has been used for over 3,000 years. It was found in King Tutankhamun’s tomb and was reputedly used by Cleopatra for her skin. We purchase & use only Israeli Black Cumin Oil, due to its high therapeutic quality, and effects to the body. Sometimes called, “The Blessed Seed.” In Islamic tradition, it is described as "a cure for every disease except death."
While usually found as a cold-pressed carrier oil, the essential oil is a highly concentrated version of the seed's active chemistry. The aroma is distinctively pungent, peppery, and slightly nutty. Its power lies in a unique compound called thymoquinone, a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that is currently being researched for its significant therapeutic potential.
Therapeutic Actions
Anti-inflammatory, Antihistamine, Antioxidant, Antimicrobial, Antispasmodic, Carminative, Immunomodulant, Bronchodilator.
Usage & Benefits
· Immune System: A rare immunomodulator, meaning it helps "balance" the immune system. It is excellent for those with autoimmune tendencies or those who catch every cold that goes around.
· Allergies: It is a natural antihistamine. It is remarkably effective at reducing the symptoms of hay fever, allergic rhinitis, and asthma.
· Skin: Known for treating difficult conditions like psoriasis, eczema, acne, hair growth, and vitiligo. It reduces inflammation and helps the skin recover its natural pigment and texture.
· Digestive: Helps eliminate "bad" bacteria in the gut while soothing spasms and gas. It is often used to support those dealing with H. pylori or candida overgrowth.
· Pain Relief: Its high thymoquinone content makes it a brilliant rub for rheumatoid arthritis and joint inflammation.
Emotional Benefit
Black Cumin is the "Oil of Ancient Protection." It feels protective and shielding. It is for those who feel physically or emotionally "depleted" and vulnerable to outside influences. It provides a sense of deep-rooted stability and helps one "digest" difficult life experiences that have left them feeling bitter or inflamed.
